Spray Test: Using a high-pressure hose, spray around the outer edges of the dam for at least 40 seconds per side. Avoid splashing water directly into the rain guard.
Dryness Check: After spraying, rub a tissue along the inner protective layer.
If the tissue stays dry, the dam is effectively sealed and should withstand standing water for several days.
If you notice moisture on the tissue, there may be a leak.
Leak Inspection: Check the outer areas carefully to locate the leak source.
Reinforcement (if needed): Install an additional anchor in the leaking area.
Retest: Repeat the spray and tissue test to confirm no further leaks.
